南亚部分国家在2007年国内政局动荡,但地区总体形势基本稳定。年终岁尾,巴基斯坦前总理贝.布托遇刺使巴政局发生剧变,各派政治势力围绕议会选举激烈博弈致使美国强力干预,前景仍有未可预料之处。印美民用核能协议虽历经艰苦谈判终于达成最终文本,但终因印度国内反对派的牵制导致辛格政府暂缓执行协议,给协议的前景蒙上阴影。由于各国相继发生困难,地区合作进程没有进展,并因印度的"脱离南亚"倾向,本地区发展前景仍有众多变数。

In 2007,the general situation in South Asia remained stable,only with disturbances in some countries of the region.As a result of the opposition posed by the Indian internal opposition parties,the US-Indian civilian nuclear energy program has been halted.And the situation in Pakistan remained unpredictable.As individual countries of the region ran into difficulties respectively,regional cooperation has achieved little progress.At the same time,India's tendency of 'parting with South Asia' may adversely affect the prospect of regional development.
