The New Development of Railway Station's Design Based on the Holistic View of Urban and Architecture

随着城市的不断扩张,过去一般位于城市边缘的火车站已经成为城市中心区的一部分,成为了城市中重要的节点之一。火车作为交通工具,也在经历了最初的辉煌和20世纪60年代汽车、飞机冲击下的没落之后重新得到肯定。新时代火车站逐渐成为新的城市发展的标志性建筑,并且具有城市、建筑一体化特征。

With expansion of the city, the railway station, which was situated once at the edge of city has become a part of the central area and an important node. The railway reconfirmed itself as one of the basic transportation tools after the glorious era and downfall impacted by the emerging of vehicle and airplane in the 1960＇s. The railway station now is designed to be the focal point and owns the holistic characteristic combining architecture with the design of city.
