The contemporary structuralism linguistics has become one of the leading theories of vocabulary teaching. It empha- sizes that morpheme is the smallest semantic unit, which depends on the formation of roots and affixes. If the students grasp the meanings of roots and affixes and learn the way of analyzing the words, they can enlarge their vocabulary quickly. It is a very useful way of learning vocabulary.
