Foreignization and Familiarization——On the artistic features of Zhao Benshan's short pieces

文艺活动实际上是陌生化和熟悉化这两种维度交相辉映的过程。陌生化是让已经熟知的事物呈现出陌生的形态,从而给受众以新奇感;熟知化是让陌生的事物使我们尽快熟悉,从而给受众以认同感。赵本山小品的艺术性即体现在陌生化与熟知化这两种维度上。

Artisic activity is apparently an interfunctional process between two dimensions： foreignization and familiarization. Through foreignization, common things take on an unfamiliar state, from which the recipients get a sense of novelty; and through familiarization, uncommon things are comprehended quickly, on which the recipients lag their appreciation. These two dimensions just highlight the artistic features of Zhao Benshan＇s short performance pieces.
