Although there were no connections between the two novels ＂Blockade＂ and ＂eroticism · abstinence＂ just at view of the contents of the two novels, it was found that the themes of the two novels were stupendously similar, and even that the key narration methods in the two novels were exactly the same after they were deeply read and compared. This discovery not only boosted our knowl- edge on the two short novels ,but also supplied new angles for understanding Zhang Ai -Ling＇ s creation ideal and creation style.
