在分析机械制造领域中各项新技术、新概念有其共同点的基础上，指出在机械制造系统中研究和利用相似理论的必要性，特别提出在相似理论的指导下，系统地研究和开发成组技术，借助计算机技术的支持，实施机械制造相似工程。

Based on the common point analysis of new techniques and new concepts in recent mantlfacturing field,the paper proposes that it is necessary to research and apply the similitued theory in manufacturing systems. Especially the paper described the importance to systematically research and develop group technology and to implement manufacturing similitude engineering by the guiding of similitude theory and with the aid of computer technique.
