A Study on the Independent-brand Cars of Joint Ventures in China——From the Perspective of the Role-shift of Multinational Corporation's Overseas Subsidiaries

本文基于跨国公司海外子公司发展的理论,从跨国公司对海外子公司管理的视角,对中外合资轿车生产企业角色转换的动因,研发职能演进的方式进行了阐述,从而对中外合资轿车企业发展自有品牌轿车的方向、前途进行了分析,并就政府管理部门对中外合资轿车企业管理过程中应采取的政策取向,中方母公司在对合资企业行使投资者管理权过程中与跨国公司博弈的战略选择提出了建议。

This article, based on the theory of The Development of Multinational Corporation＇ s Overseas Subsidiaries, from the perspective of the multinational corporations＇ management to their subsidiaries, elaborates the causes of the role-shift and the evolvement types of research ＆ development functions of the automobile joint ventures in China. And it analyzes the directions and the future of the independent-brand cars of the automobile joint ventures in China. In addition, this article makes suggestions on what policies the government should take to administrate the automobile joint ventures in China and. what strategies the Chinese stock holders should choose while they execute their right to manage the joint ventures and compete with multinational corporations.
