An Approach to Analyze the Burst-Level Cell Loss Rate

ＡＴＭ网络中突发业务的突发级信元丢失率分析是一个至今尚未得到圆满解决的问题．在目前的各种算法中，尚未有一种在实际应用中既精确有效，又方便可行．因此，本文针对突发业务，给出了一种利用广义ＯＮ－ＯＦＦ信源模型求解突发级信元丢失率函数的新算法．它不仅计算简单，有解析表达式，模拟实验表明它具有相当高的精度，并足以满足实际应用的需要．

The analysis of the burst-level cell loss rate of buresty traffic in ATM networks has not beensolved completely so far. None of the present algorithms is not only precise and effective, but also convenient andpracticable. So a novel approach to analyze the burst level cell loss rate based on a general ON-OFF scarce modeis presented in this paper for bursty traffic. It is simple with an analytical expression and the simulation showsthat it is very accurate for applications.
