Real-time three-dimensional echocardiography is a brand new technology and a new breakthrough in the field of echocardiographicy, which can display in real time the spatial structure of the heart and accurately quantify parameters of the heart. This article reviews advances in real-time three-dimensional echocardiography in cardiac quantification.
