Application of PDC Bits in Complex Formations of Lvda Oilfield

PDC钻头已经成为渤海湾优质高效钻井的一个重要手段。旅大油田由于地层均质性差,馆陶组地层的底砾岩对钻头破坏异常严重,需要对PDC钻头进行一系列的改进和处理。主要从布齿设计、PDC钻头切削件的优化、动态稳定性的改进以及合理钻井参数的选择等方面阐述了对PDC钻头机械钻速和使用寿命的影响,介绍了对PDC钻头的管理,分析了其经济效益。

Polycrystalline diamond compact （PDC） bits have become an important technology for improving drilling efficiently and effectively in Bohai Oilfields. Several improvements and adiustments are required considering the severe damage to PDC bits due to the Guantao layer and heterogeneity of the reservoir. This paper introduced the impact of PDC on rate of penetration and longevity of PDC from design and optimization of cutters, improvement of dynamic stability and rational choice of drilling parameters etc. In addition, this paper described PDC bit management and economic benefits.
