摘要
比较南北《西厢记》的宫调曲牌组合形式可知,北《西厢记》采用的是依宫调联套的组合方式,而南《西厢记》往往依据特定情节和人物来选择曲牌组合方式。与北《西厢记》相比,南《西厢记》的这种组合方式更适应戏曲的发展,对戏曲的传播亦有着不可磨灭的功绩。
In The Romance of the Western Chamber of the north, each act has a series of quapi ( name of tune to which a qu is composed) in the same category of gongdiao ( mode of ancient Chinese music). The Romance of the Western Chamber of the south combines different kinds of qupai in each act according to specific plot and characters. This combination was more suitable to the development of traditional opera and made an everlasting contribution to the popularization of opera.
