许润三教授是全国名老中医药专家之一,对于妇科疑难病的治疗有独到之处。学术思想主要有以中医为本,重视辨证论治,但不排斥西医,主张辨病辨证相结合。许教授临证时善于四诊合参,尤其重视舌脉。在妇科疾病的辨证治疗中,注重调养肝肾,认为肾为经孕之本,肝肾密切相关。治疗上善用经方,并勇于创新,用药力求药少力专。

Professor XU Run-san is one of the most renowned doctors in traditional Chinese medicine. He is good at the therapy of difficult and complicated disease of gynecology. There are mainly the following points in XU＇ s academic thoughts ： on the basis of traditional Chinese medicine, giving emphasis to treatment based on syndrome differentiation ,combining syndrome differentiation with disease differentiation but not excluding western medicine; the treatment should base on four methods of diagnosis, especially the tongue inspection in clinic; paying attention to harmonizing the liver and kidney in diagnosing and treating gynecological diseases. In treatment, he often uses classical prescriptions, and is brave in innovation to achieve the best curative effect in less medicine.
