The basic concept of the battlefield electromagnetic environment was elaborated. The basic factors of man - made electromagnetic radiation, natural electromagnetic radiation, and radiation transmission in battlefield environment were analyzed. It was concluded that the complex electromagnetic environment bad become the key factor for seizing active power of modern war from making further analysis and discussion to the complexity of information-based battlefield electromagnetic environment. The purpose was to lay the foundation for completing better the information-based battle and training from exploring the basic regulations of the battlefield electromagnetic environment and promoting the construction of the battlefield electromagnetic environment.
