中华民族精神对促进人的发展有积极作用,发扬中华民族精神对当代社会人的发展具有以下意义:有助于为人的发展创造良好的自然环境和和谐的社会环境;有助于为人的发展提供广阔的施展空间和高级的自我实现;有助于锻造坚韧意志、提高实践能力;有助于为人的发展提供道德价值导航和道德修养方法;有助于培养人的创新精神和创新能力;有助于提升人的品位和情操,缓解人的精神和心理压力,塑造人的文明礼貌行为。在发扬中华民族精神有促进人的发展作用时,我们还要正确处理其与马克思主义、时代精神、西方民族精神之间的关系以及其与中国传统文化中的糟粕之间的关系。

During the process of the opening up and reform and globalization, the Chinese national spirit is of great significance in human development. Firstly, it is helpful to create a friendly natural environment as well as a harmonious social environment. Secondly, it can provide a broader space and an ideal self-realization. Thirdly, it can strengthen our will and enhance our practice capacity. Fourthly, it can supply an ethical direction. Fifthly, it can cultivate our creative spirit and ability. Sixthly, it can perfect our personality; relieve our pressure and cultivate our polite behaviors. Meanwhile, we should also correctly deal with the relations between the Chinese national spirit and Marxism, times spirit, western national spirit and the dross in Chinese traditional culture.
