摘要
研究了手性丙烯酸酯侧链液晶聚合物聚4丙烯酰十一烷氧基4′[S()2甲基丁氧基]联苯(PA11)的分子量对其液晶行为的影响,结果表明,PA11的相变温度随聚合度增大而升高,当聚合度大于15以后,分子量对相变温度影响不明显,低聚合度的PA11只表现出双向性的SA相,而聚合度大于7的PA11不仅具有双向性SA相,而且还表现出双向性SC相;
The molar mass effect on phase transition of a chiral side chain liquid crystal poly 4 acryloxyloxy undecanoloxy 4′ [ s( ) 2 methylbutyloxyloxy] biphenyl (PA 11) was studied in the present work. The experimental results show that the mesomorphic temperature range depended on the degree of polymerization ( DP ) of polymer. The PA 11 with DP below 7 exhibits an enantiotropic S A mesophase, while polymer with DP over 7 displays both S A and S * C enantiotropic mesophases. Moreover, molar mass distribution has an effect on liquid crystalline behaviour of polymer.
