It is very important for design of a safety instrument system in petrochemical plants. HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) provides the strong foundation for configuration of the safety instrument system (SIS). Determination of the safety integrity level (SIL) and deign principle of the safety instrumented system (SIS) is described. The configuration of SIS shall be rational.
