The characteristics and several disadvantages of CAN applied in aerospace applications are analyzed. CANaerospace, which acts as the upper layer protocol for CAN in aerospace applications, is summarized. CANaerospace message types, message structure and system redundancy support are mainly introduced. At last, a design scheme of CANaerospace system based on MC68376 is presented.
