在当今的经济全球化时代,民族精神培育应着力使人们明知国家曾经蒙受过的耻辱,更要深知国家不能产生新的耻辱,国家荣辱观的核心是要知道国耻。中华民族曾有百年国耻,我们应该"知耻近乎勇";目前社会群体知耻感淡化,知耻教育是"治世之大端";官吏不廉洁知耻,是"国之大耻"。国耻教育在民族精神培育中有着重要的不可替代的价值功能。举国之人皆知有耻,中华民族才会避免再蒙受耻辱。

In the era of economic globalization, the cultivation of national spirit should make the people know that the country had suffered the humiliation, and need to fully realize the country cannot have the new humiliation, the core of the view of national honor and disgrace is knowing the national humiliation. Chinese nation once had a century national humiliation, we should know the national humiliation and become bravery. At present, the social groups are lack of the consciousness of humiliation, the education of national humiliation is the basis of ruling the society. The government officials don＇t know the national humiliation, which is the humiliation of the country. The education of national humiliation has the value function which cannot be substituted in the cultivation of national spirit. The national people have the consciousness of humiliation, then Chinese nation can avoid another humiliation.
