Survey on AIDS-related knowledge,attitude and behavior of migrant workers of different occupations

目的了解不同类别流动人口艾滋病知识、态度和行为状况,为制定针对流动人口的艾滋病防制措施提供依据。方法对建筑工人、工厂工人、个体经营者、餐饮服务业人员、家政从业者、临时雇佣劳动力和娱乐场所服务人员七大类流动人口1384人进行面对面问卷调查,内容包括社会人口学特征、艾滋病防治知识、艾滋病相关态度及行为。结果东莞市流动人口年龄中位数29岁,以初中文化程度及省外流动人口为主。对艾滋病相关问题回答平均正确率为66.1%。对商业性和临时性性行为的赞成率分别为27.2%和39.5%。分别有3.5%和6.1%的流动人口近一年内有过商业性和临时性性行为,在商业性性行为和临时性性行为中每次均使用安全套者分别占50.0%和25.3%。结论流动人口普遍存在文化水平较低、艾滋病防治知识缺乏、非婚性行为及安全套使用率低等感染HIV的危险因素,应加大对该人群的健康教育和行为干预。

Objective To know the AIDS- related knowledge, attitude and behavior of migrant workers of different occupations and to provide the basis on working out and implementing prevention and control measures. Methods 1384 migrant workers, including building workers, factory workers, self-employed labourers, restaurant attendants, household workers, temporary-employed labourers and recreation place servers, were investigated on the demographic in- formation, AIDS related knowledge, attitude and behavior by face to face interview with questionnaires. Results The average age of workers was 29 and most of them were middle school educated and from other province.s. The average awareness rate on AIDS related questions was 66.1%. The agreement rates on commercial and temporary sexual behaviors were 27.2 % and 39.5 %, respectively. 3.5 % and 6.1% migrant workers had commercial and temporary sexual experiences in recent one year, during which the rate of using condoms every time was 50.0% and 25.3%, respectively. Conclusion Low education, lack of AIDS related knowledge, non-marriage sexual behavior and low rate of condom use seemed to be the high risk factors of migrant population. It is suggested to strengthen health education and behavior intervention to the population.
