An introduction was made on the tensioning process of the miter gate back-tie rod in Changzhou shiplock. By rationally arranging the measuring points, using jack jacking and rotating nut, following the construction procedures of initial adjustment, fine adjustment and final adjustment, the best design stress value is satisfied, the facade straightness of gate leaf diagonal pillar and gate axis pillar as well as the transverse straighthess of gate leaf all comply with design specifications and satisfy the requirements for installation and operation.
