Total Hardness and Trace Element Content of Drinking Water Produced by the Waterworks if Towns in South Jiangsu Ares

调查了苏锡常地区建制镇水厂出厂水中的总硬度及微量元素的含量。结果表明：该地区以地下水为水源的水厂水中总硬度、铁、锰的含量较高，超标严重。两种水源中锌的含量均不高，所有水厂出厂水中硒、铜、铬、砷、铅、汞均未检出。

This is a finding report on the trace element content and total hardness of drinking water produced by the waterworks of towns in south Jiangsu area. The report in dicates that the samples from waterworks using underground water as the source have much higher Ca,Mg, Fe and Mn content than the standards permitted. Zn content was low and no Cu, Se, Cr, As, Pb, and Hg were found in all the waterworks′ samples we determined.
