The Mission of the University and the Development of Its Connotation

高等教育发展的形势要求我们认清大学的使命,拓宽大学发展的内涵。崇尚实用、服务地方、面向大众是我校的重要使命。要实现这些神圣的使命,必须全面推进学校的综合改革。其中,解放思想、更新观念是先导,机制与体制改革是关键,学科建设是龙头,课程改革是核心,培养高素质的应用型人才是目标。

The development of the higher education requires us to have a clear understanding of the mission of the university, extend the connotation of its development, and promote the comprehensive reforming of teaching. In practice, it is first to emancipate the mind and innovate the concept and the key is to reform the system and the policy; the construction of the discipline plays the leading role and the reforming of the course the focus; and the goal is to develop applicable talents with quality.
