大学英语教学的最终目的是培养学生的英语语言交际能力。将"语言作为交际工具"的本质属性作为理论依据,从大学英语教学普遍存在的问题出发,提出了大学英语四六级考试改革的紧迫性与必然性,揭示了CET之改革与大学英语教学之间的紧密关系,并由此提出了相应的改革措施与改进方法。

The ultimate goal of College English Education is to cultivate learners＇communicative competence in English.The article,based on the theory ＂Language is employed as a means of communicating＂ ,advocates the urgency and inevitability of reforms of CET in term of issues in College English Teaching,and ,meanwhile,proposes some effective measures and feasible solutions to College English Teaching in accordance with the interrelationships between reforms of CET and College English Education.
