Semantic and Pragmatic Analysis of Modal Adverbs "Dagai","Yexu" and "Kongpa

本文主要讨论或然类语气副词"大概"、"也许"和"恐怕"在语义、语用方面的异同。首先从这三个或然语气副词的基本语义入手,总结其语义特征,分析其异同,探讨三个词在语义辖域、语义焦点和语义指向等方面的特点。最后,从语用前提、句类选择、共现词等方面对其语用情况进行分析。

This paper mainly discusses the functional similarities and differences of the modal adverbs ＂dctgai＂,＂yexu＂ and ＂kongpa＂ on semantic and pragmatic level. Start with the basic semantic of the three adverbs, we make conclusions about their semantic characters, and analyze their similarities and differences, then discuss the semantic scopes, the semantic focus and the semantic direction of the three words based on their sentence positions. After analyzing their pragmatic alternatives according to the pragmatic prediction and sentence choices, we discover the pragmatic prediction is an essential factor to restrict the transformation of the three probable modal adverbs.
