In the remote and impoverished areas in China,many families are incapable of paying operation expense as they are poor;their children are bearing the discrimination from the society and huge pressure thereof as they cannot afford for the operation for curing their cleft palate.As lacking of money,many children suffering from this disease have lost their best time for the repairing surgery.

As lacking of money, many children suffering from this disease have lost their best time for the repairing surgery. Thanks to the great support and help of National Population and Family Planning Commission of China, China Population Welfare Foundation has cooperated with USA International Plastic Organization and Alliance for Smiles since 2002 to implement the charity and commonweal activity of happy smile. The main purpose of this activity is helping the children who suffer from the cleft palate and are in the impoverished family enjoy the free plastic surgery by raising fund, to bring them an opportunity of happy smile again.
