随着世界经济的全球化和中国经济社会的快速发展,高质量的综合型人才竞争成为各个国家角逐世界的首选。中国的理工科大学作为培养学术大师、企业领袖、政治精英的重要场所,转变办学观念,注重学科交叉融合,努力发展人文社会科学是建设高水平研究型大学的需要。但由于传统观念和学科环境的影响,理工科大学发展人文社会科学学科需要克服观念、机制、制度等方面的制约,坚持"小而精、入主流、重交叉、显特色"的发展原则,以主动求合作、以贡献求支持,建设高水平的文科。
