Policies and Laws Concerning Protection of Nonmaterial Cultural Heritage of Chinese Medicine

关于中医药的存废已成为社会热点问题。无论取消或保护的呼声谁高谁低,各方人数有多少,这都是一种巨大的悲哀。这种没有标准的、不分是非的争论,既非政府观点,也非民意体现,纯属医学圈内人士专业之间的成见加上圈外人的"无知"盲从"现代",形成对宝贵传统文化资源的群体性破坏。国家应当通过综合措施引导、规范,达到保护和充分利用的效果。

It has become a heated social controversy as to whether Chinese medicine should be abolished or protected. The author believes that this is a great pity no matter how many people are for or against the survival of Chinese medicine. This is a controversy without any standard and without distinction between right and wrong, which represents neither the govermnent nor public opinions. This constitutes a collective sabotage of the precious traditional cultural resources, caused by both the prejudice of those within the medical field and the ＂ignorance＂ and ＂the tendency of following blindly＂ of those outside the medical field. The govermnent should take effective measures to protect and fully utilize this cultural heritage.
