摘要
在比较几种传统数据模型的优缺点基础上，提出了面向对象数据模型，并分析了采用面向对象数据模型建立GIS空间数据库的现实意义和优势。分析比较了三种构建面向对象GIS空间数据库的实现方式并讨论了面向对象GIS空间数据库在两个方面的应用：一是构建面向对象影像、矢量、DEM集成化GIS空间数据库；二是构建对象一关系型数据库管理系统（ORDBMS）。最后，展望了GIS数据库发展的新趋势。
Based on comparing the advantage and disadvantage of several data models, the article brought forward object oriented data model and analyzed the realism and advantage of building space database by object oriented technology. The article analyzed and compared three ways of building object oriented GIS space database and discussed the appliance of object oriented GIS space database.
