Analysis on the Causes of Catholic Reformation in Early Modern Western Europe——A reassessment of Counter-Reformation

本文对近代早期天主教在权力组织结构、教会神职人员的道德风尚、普通信徒的宗教需求与教会教义之间存在不协调等问题进行了分析。揭示了在面对近代早期西欧社会在政治、经济、文化等领域出现的种种变动的新形势下,天主教对自身进行改革以适应时代的历史必然性。

In this thesis, focusing on the power system of Catholicism, the moral situation of clergymen, the discord between the religious need of common believers and doctrines of church, the author analyzed the problems faced by Catholicism in early modem, point- ing out that in facing the new situation following the transition in politics, economy and culture in early modem Western European society, the Catholicism must reform itself to fit for the need of Era.
