Calculation and Discussion of the Attenuation Characteristics of Coaxial Cables with Copper-Clad Aluminium Braid

This paper presents in detail the calculation of the attenuation characteristic of coaxial cables with copperclad aluminium braid. Comparison was made between the attenuation characteristic of coaxial cables with copper-clad aluminium braid and those of the coaxial cables with tinned copper braid. The result showed that the cable with copper-clad aluminium braid has similar calculated attenuation characteristics to the cable with tinned copper braid so it complies with the related requirements of the standard.
