In much of Shen＇ s works, ideal social formations are made up. Still he keeps on building the spirit of such ideal societies together with the balance of social ecology. In his works of more realistic themes, such balance is upset, economic growth going together with moral degeneration, social political change resulting not only in the disorder of social ecology but also in the upset of spiritual ecology. The consciousness of spiritual ecology in his mind makes him feel distressed, worried in heart and unable to do anything about.
