On Cultivating Students’ Cross-culture Ability

语言是文化的载体,在英语教学中必须要注意学生跨文化交际能力的培养,文章分析了跨文化交际冲突的原因,认为培养学生的跨文化交际能力应从以下几个方面入手:向学生介绍文化背景知识与风土人情;采用多种教学手段,创造文化氛围;创设英语语言环境;培养学生英语思维能力,尽量避免母语的干扰。

Language is the carrier of culture. Teachers should pay more attention to cultivate students＇ cross-culture ability. In order to cultivate students＇ cross-culture ability, this paper analyzes the causes of culture conflicts and describes some strategies： introducing background knowledge and local conditions and customs of the text to students; using various teaching methods; creating culture and English language phenomenon; cultivating students to think in English rather than in Chinese.
