论教师期望效应在英语教学中的运用

On the Applications of Teachers’ Expectation Effect in English Teaching

教师对学生的期望大小与学生的学业成就存在着一定的相关性,即教师对学生的期望值越高,学生取得成功的可能性越大;反之,学生的发展便会受滞。于是,人们便期望教师公平地对待每一位学生,尤其关爱暂时落后的学生,以便每一位学生都能得到最好的发展。本文就如何正确合理地运用教师期望效应来促进英语教学这一问题进行了探讨。

The expectation a teacher gives to students has a certain relation to the students＇ study achievements. The higher a teacher expects to his students, the more possibility of success the students will achieve. On the contrary, the students＇ development may be obstructed. In that case, teachers are expected to treat every student equally, especially to pay more attention to the students who are backward temporarily, so that every student can get the best development. This paper probes into the problem that how to improve English teaching through proper and reasonable applications of teachers＇ expectation effect.
