Discussion on the Impact of Western painting upon Chinese portraits during the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty

明朝末年至清朝乾隆时期二百余年间,西方传教士在中国传教过程中,引入的西洋画对中国绘画的发展产生了深远的影响。中国绘画中受西洋画影响最深的中国肖像画,形成了三种大的风格——波臣式肖像画风、折衷式肖像画风和西洋式肖像画风。

During over two hundred years of course from the late Ming Dynasty to the reign of Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty,missionar- ies from the West had exerted great influences upon the development of Chinese painting when they introduced western painting into China.As the most influenced Chinese portrait in Chinese paintings,are portraits of Bochen Style,Compromise Style and Western Style.
