Copying is an important concept in western classical arts theory. The concept of copying is generally regarded as an ancient art theory. However, as what we saw in ancient original documents, the theory of copying is not an art theory in the modem sense. To be exact, it is an understanding and reproduction of figurative. The basic characteristics of the the ancient theory of ＂copying ＂ lies with the difference between copying acts and real world. The copying theory concerns the relationship between the act of copying and the external world, that is the relation between certain or certain prototype.
