我国工程起重机行业已经历了5年的快速发展,在国内市场需求旺盛和出口快速增长的拉动下,2007年是高速发展的一年。据分会统计,2007年1-9月全行业销售收入达到了120.6亿元,同比增长44.8%,利润总额近13亿元,同比增长63.4%,工业增加值达到近19亿元，同比增长23．9％。汽车起重机（包括全路面起重机）销售量14632台，同比增长32．9％；随车起重机销售量2840台，同比增长54.1％；履带起重机销售量669台，同比增长87．9％。轮胎起重机199台，同比增长105％。这样高的增长速度在起重机行业的历史上是绝无仅有的。2002-2007年移动式起重机销量和销售收入见表1。
