摘要
《红字》运用了不同的艺术手法来刻画人物,取得了很好的艺术效果。本论文旨在探讨象征与反讽这两种艺术手法在刻画小说人物内心世界方面所起的重要作用。
This paper mainly focuses on the artistic techniques used in Hawthorne＇s THE SCARLET LETTER and their effect on portraying the internal world of the characters. Symbolism and irony are expounded to explore their roles in depicting the conflicting minds of the characters.
