龚荫教授编著的《中国民族政策史》，首次对中国历代民族政策的滥觞、确立、发展和定制时代进行系统论述，在边疆民族地区行政建置、民族和亲、民族边防变化、民族法制等诸多问题的研究上提出了新观点。

The History of Chinese Ethnic Policies written by Professor Gong Yin is the first work of its kind. It has delt systematically with the issue of the beginning, establishemnet, development and final shaping of Chinese ethnic policies in various historical periods, it came up with new opinions concerning the research on many problems, such as administrative set up in ethnic regions, peaceful relations between the ethnic groups, the evolution of ethnic border defence, ethnic rule by law.
