仅管瑞士被称为“巧克力之国”.但实际上.在瑞士,奶酪的地位一点也不逊于巧克力。奶酪不仅是深受瑞士人喜爱的美味食品,它还是人们社会地位和财富的象征。如果家里来了远方的朋友.好客的主人一定会拿出家中最好的奶酪让客人品尝。拜访亲朋好友时,人们也会按照传统习俗.送上一块奶酪作为礼物。瑞士奶酪品种繁多,其中以埃蒙塔尔奶酪最为著名。而在瑞士众多的奶酪吃法中.最具传统特色的.是一种名叫“丰迪”的“奶酪火锅”。最著名的“丰迪”是将等量的格吕耶尔奶酪与瓦什寒奶酪一同放入锅内.底下用酒精炉加热,待两种奶酪都融化成液体状态,混合到一起后.再加入适量的白葡萄酒和干的剩面包,用铁钳子来插着吃。
