该文主要通过阅读Deborah Fausch的文章"Rococo Modernism:The Elegance of Style",及对鲁道夫的Mary CooperJewett Arts Center(1958)和莫内欧的Davis Museumand Culture Center(1993)两座建筑的对比,说明不同阶段现代主义发展中的不同思潮,并试图阐述对现代主义一些基本问题的理解。
Through reading Deborah Fausch＇s article Rococo Modernism： The Elegance of Style, and comparing Mary Cooper Jewett Arts Center designed by Paul Rudolph with Davis Museum and Culture Center by Rafael Moneo, this paper explains different thoughts in different periods of modernism development, and tries to expound the comprehension on some basic issues of the modernism.
