湘丝甜是以湘潭肉丝瓜经5代自交选育而成的自交系SZ03-24为母本,以双峰丝瓜经6代自交选育而成的自交系SZ03-8为父本配制而成的丝瓜一代杂种。极早熟,从定植到始收40d（天）左右,植株生长势较强,第1雌花节位第7节左右,雌花节率高,早期持续坐果能力强。果实短粗棒形,纵径24cm左右,横径6-8cm,果皮绿色,被蜡粉,果肉致密脆嫩,香味浓,商品性好。单瓜质量500g左右,一般每667m^2前期产量1200kg左右,总产量3500kg左右。
