A New Early-maturity Watemelon Cultivar‘Tianjiao’

‘天骄’为早熟西瓜新品种。果实圆形,果形指数1.0,果皮浅绿底上覆墨绿色条带,单瓜质量5～6 kg,果肉大红色,肉质细脆,纤维少,中心可溶性固形物含量11.94%,抗裂性好,品质优良。全生育期94 d,高抗西瓜炭疽病、病毒病,中抗西瓜枯萎病,产量可达45 t·hm^(-2)。

‘Tianjiao＇ is an early-maturing, high quality, and disease resistant new cultivar which bred by‘ YB-7＇ as female parent and ‘ZJ-4＇ as male parent. It is early-maturing cuhivar with a growth period of 94 days. The fruit is spherical in shape and fruit shape index is 1.0. The fruit peel is light green mixed with dark green stripe. The mass of a single fruit is 5 -6 kg. The yield is 45 t · hm^-2 or more. It is highly resistant to watermelon anthrax and watermelon virus disease, and moderately resistant to watermelon wilt disease. Its flesh is red in colour, crisp, and less fibber content. The content of central soluble solids is 11.94%. It is resistant to cracking and easy to store and transport with high quality.
