Correcting and Complementing the Entries of Animal and Bird Words in Large-scale Dictionaries

本文考证落实了10个鸟兽名称的所指,它们都是《汉语大字典》和《汉语大词典》解释不明或弄错了的。即:猸子(鼬獾);麈(麋鹿);鴢(黑颈);吐绶鸡(角雉);鹯、晨风(白尾鹞);狂(大鵟等);桐花凤、幺凤(太阳鸟);翡(赤翡翠)。

This is a textural research on animal names. Ten animal names which are explained vaguely or wrong by large-scale Chinese character dictionaries or large-scale Chinese dictionaries are made clear. They are ： meizi （ stoat badger）, zhu （wapiti）, yao（black neck grebe）, tushouji （ hone pheasant）, zhan （white tail snipe）, kuang （ buzzard）, tonghuafeng （ sun bird）, and fei （ red emerald bird）.
