高校英语课程建设和改革的新思考

全国中小学正在思考、讨论英语课程改革的问题,中学也正在全面实施新英语课程标准。高校英语教师也正在紧跟形势,修改英语课程目标,调整课程结构和课程内容,以培养符合新世纪新时代所需要的高素质英语人才。英语课程改革关键在教师。教师必须更新教育观念,转换角色,改变教育模式,更新语言知识,改善能力结构,以适应英语课程改革的需要,为培养应用型高素质英语人才作出不懈的努力。

The problem of the reform of the English curriculum is under consideration and under discussion in primary school, middle school and college and the fulfillment of the English curriculum criteria is in full swing in middle school, English teachers in college are keeping pace with the time to revise the curriculum objectives and to readjust the curriculum structure and the curriculum content in order to bring into being English talented people of fine qualities serving the needs of the time and the century. This paper airs its views on the foregoing calling for deep thought. The outcome of the reform of the school curriculum depends on the initiative of the teachers. The teachers must refresh their educational concepts, shift their role - play, change their mode of education, refresh their knowledge of language and improve their structure of ability in order to satisfy the needs of the reform of the school curriculum and make unremitting efforts to bring into being English talented people, who apply themselves to various iobs.
