文化产业是一国综合实力的竞争要素和国民经济的重要组成部分,其发展的重要特征即"文化经济化"和"经济文化化"。欠发达地区发展文化产业具有重要的现实意义,必须树立科学的发展观,寻求正确的发展路径,采取针对性较强的战略对策,创造有利环境,激发欠发达地区活力,充分发挥文化产业对欠发达地区大发展的战略支持作用。

The culture industry is an element of the comprehensive national strength and an important componet of the national economy, the important booming characteristics of which are ＂the economy culturalizion＂and ＂the culture economization＂. Developing the culture industry has important relevance to the less developed areas; therefore, to give full play the culture industry for the development drive of the less developed areas, we must foster the scientific outlook on development, seek the correct development path, take the strong targeted strategies, creat the favorable environent, and inspire the vitality of the less developed areas.
