China＇s Central Position to be Kept in Global Cashmere Sector

中国是羊绒的最大生产国和出口国，世界羊绒资源高度集中在中国，每年全球出产羊绒在1．6万吨左右，其中1．2万吨产自中国，中国羊绒产量占世界总产量的75％以上。得天独厚的自然资源促成中国庞大的羊绒加工能力。据统计，中国的2000多家羊绒企业，实际控制了全世界93％的羊绒原料，同时发展了印染、纺纱、织衫以及其他各种制成品的下游企业，形成了完整的羊绒产业链。

China remains the largest producer and exporter in the world with highly concentrated global cashmere resources in China. A total of 16 000 tons of cashmere are produced in the world annually, of which 12 000 tons come from China, making up 75% of the world＇s total. To boost independent brands from Chinese cashmere firms and the exchange and cooperation with domestic and foreign counterparts, and to set up Chma＇s central position in global cashmere circles, the 1 st session of China Beijing Int＇l Cashmere Fair, approved by the Chinese Ministry of Commeree and sponsored by CFNA, was held between 1-4 Nov 2007 in Beijing. The fair represents an internationally specialized one in China even in world cashmere industry with subject of cashmere and cashmere products, covering an exhibition area of 7 000 sq meters with 300 booths. With the subject of＂Establishing Brands ＆ Leading Fashion~, the fair organized the high-profile opening ceremony, release of popular trend of cashmere fashion, the 2nd China Int＇ 1 Cashmere Forum and the Sino-Mongolia Joint Conference of Cashmere Firms. The int＇ 1 fair has set up a high-grade exchange platform shared in global cashmere sector, thereby favoring the regulated and honest cashmere trade and the protection of intellectual property rights. The international cashmere fair will be held annually from now on.
