The Subjectivity in the Perspective of Western Romantic Literary Theory

在西方文论中,主体性是一个重要概念,但是在浪漫主义兴起之前,"模仿说"一直占主导地位,致使主体性处于缺失状态。浪漫主义兴起后,主体性第一次被提高到如此显赫的位置。浪漫主义主体性研究的重点是情感、天才和想象。这种研究既有历史进步性,又有不可避免的缺陷。

In western literay theory, subjectivity is an important concept. Before the appearance of Romanticism, the theory of ＂Imitation＂ always occupied the dominant position , therefore the subjectivity is at a lower position. Only after the appearance of Romanticism, the subjectivity is then enhanced to a prominent position. The fo- cus of Romantic subjectivity research is on emotion, aptitude and imagination. This research has the historic significance in addition to the inevitable flaws.
