摘要
JPEG2000编码标准以多分辨率小波变换为基础,其编码参数的取值对图像压缩的性能和质量有重要的影响,同时也关系到实时编解码器的复杂性及其架构设计。图像压缩的参数研究,对于实时图像编码软硬件系统的开发,有着重要的指导意义和工程应用价值。在分析小波变换的多分辨率特性与提升方案的基础上,实验研究其参数取值对编码性能和图像质量的影响,提出不同码率下主要编码参数的适宜取值范围,为特定应用环境下实时编码系统的构建与参数选择提供依据。
JPEG2000 adopts multiple resolution discrete wavelet transform as basis. The choice value of its coding parameters has deterministic effects on the compression performance and image quality, and also greatly influ-ences the encoder architecture design and complexity. Research on the coding parameters has instructive value to the development of software/hardware image coding systems. This paper studies the multi - resolution property of Wavelet transform and its lifting structure, then delivers a detailed investigation on main coding parameters of wavelet in JPEG2000 and their influence on compression quality. It discusses the appropriate range of the coding parameters for various coding settings to provide suggestions for encoder system design under certain application environment.
