The collection of the Zhengzhou Weilai Bronze Mirror Art Museum contains a mirror with a floral design, which is similar in shape and decoration to a mirror found in the tomb of Prince Jing of Zhongshan in Mancheng,Hebei province, and so both belong to the early period of the reign of Han Dynasty Emperor Wudi. The mirror is inscribed with a two- line inscription running to 16 characters, which comprises lines of a Chu style of poem and this sheds light on the origins of Chinese poetry with seven-character lines. The museum's collection contains a second mirror decorated with a stellar cloud pattern and this would appear from its decoration to belong to the earlier part of the mid-Western Han Dynasty, and this mirror bears a similar inscription. The poem describes a dream of meditation, and is quite unlike the usual inscription found on bronze mirrors.
