Direct cost claim is the emphasis of the construction contractors＇ cost claim, Calculating the direct cost correctly and reasonably will help protect the legal economical interests of both the construction contractors and employers, An improved Actual Cost Method is suggested in this paper which is based on the study of the construction contractors＇ calculation method of direct cost claim. Also the calculation basis and process of direct cost is analyzed with some relevant cases as example.
